And What to Do When "Managing Your TSH" Isn't Enough
You’ve done everything right.
You went to your doctor, ran the labs, maybe even started thyroid medication.
For a while, things seemed better.
But then… the symptoms crept back in:
Fatigue that doesn't budge
Brain fog
Bloating or constipation
Weight gain despite eating clean
Anxiety or mood swings
And when you go back for follow-up?
Your doctor says the same thing:
“Your labs look fine.”
Conventional thyroid care is built around one lab marker: TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone).
Sometimes they’ll test Free T4. Occasionally Free T3. But that’s usually it.
Based on that, you’re either told:
“You’re fine.”
“Let’s increase your dose.”
“It’s probably not your thyroid.”
Here’s the problem: TSH is just the thermostat—not the furnace.
It tells you what the brain is asking for, not what your body is actually getting.
Managing your thyroid should be about more than checking a few boxes.
It should consider your full metabolic picture:
Is your body converting T4 to T3?
Are your cells actually using thyroid hormone efficiently?
Are inflammation, stress, or gut issues interfering with that process?
Are your adrenals overworked and hijacking your hormone balance?
Is estrogen dominance suppressing your thyroid function?
Are you nutrient deficient in selenium, iron, or B vitamins?
If the answer to any of those is yes, then adjusting your Synthroid dose won’t fix the real problem.
Most thyroid dysfunction is a symptom, not a root cause.
The real issue is a breakdown in communication across your body’s systems—what I call Metabolic Chaos®.
When your gut, liver, immune system, adrenals, and detox pathways are overloaded, your thyroid can't keep up.
It’s not just about your thyroid.
It’s about the terrain the thyroid lives in.
Most functional thyroid clients I work with have already “tried everything”—but no one ever looked at:
Their cortisol rhythm
Their gut microbiome or stealth infections
Their estrogen/progesterone balance
Their mitochondrial health
Their genetics or detox capacity
That’s the difference with Biomapping.
We go beyond symptom management to uncover why your thyroid is struggling—and what’s standing in the way of healing.
You’re not crazy.
You’re not overreacting.
You’re not lazy or just getting older.
You’re just stuck in a system that wasn’t designed to truly understand what’s happening beneath the surface.
Let’s look beyond the thyroid—and finally get to the root.
